Supporting Communities – One Meal at a Time
YOW Foodbank was created to tackle rising food poverty across the UK. What began in 2020 as Your One Wish’s pandemic response—delivering meals to children missing out on free school meals, NHS workers, and the vulnerable—grew into something bigger.
By 2023, the cost of living crisis pushed more families into hardship. Food banks were overwhelmed, struggling with rising demand and falling donations.
In response, YOW Foodbank became a dedicated branch of Your One Wish, focused on providing food and essential supplies to those who need it most. We believe no one should have to choose between heating and eating—and we’re here to help change that.
What we do

We believe food is more than fuel—it’s dignity, connection, and hope. Yet for millions in the UK and around the world, hunger is a daily reality.
At YOW Foodbank, we respond with action—delivering essential food and supplies to those who need them most. We work hand-in-hand with grassroots organisations to ensure fast, effective distribution, whether it's supporting local food banks or delivering school meals overseas.
